Ch. Cherann's Somethin' So L'gacy x L'gacy Gemstone
Slipper was bred by Alisa Pesek at L'gacy Collies in Swanton, NE. When Alisa and I met I was interested in a smooth collie, however, her beautiful head and body kept drawing me to her along with her "pick me" personality. She came home with me, played herding games with chickens at just a few months old, began helping with livestock chores, earned her AKC Rally Advanced title and quickly became my inspiration to compete in herding events. Slipper continues to increase her list of accomplishments in limited competitions. During an adventurous trip to California for the 2010 CCA National Specialty Slipper went High in Trial on Ducks, won the Herding Titled Bitch Class, placed second in Rally Excellent A , and qualified for Most Versatile Collie! She also won HIT in 2009 at the CCA Central Herding Regional on May 30, 2009 and brought home the High Scoring Sheep award as well as a new HSBs (Herding Started B Course Sheep) title. She now has two High In Trial wins and has attained two AKC Reserve High In Trials in all breed competition and one in collies only competition to date. She has a NAMASCUSA mHOD (Herding Open Dog) title as well as another Reserve High In Trial in April of 2008. Slipper finished her HXAs title at the CCofA Central Herding Regionals on November 15, 2008 and won the High Scoring Cattle award both days. At the CCofA Eastern Herding Regionals she finished her HSAc (Herding Started A Course Cattle) title and won RHIT (her fourth to date) on November 23, 2008. She also added a few HC (Herding Championship) points from both events. The 4 Corners Herding Association of Tulsa presented Slipper with the Trial Dog of the Year award for 2008!
Roxy picked me as I was visiting Alisa Pesek at L'gacy Collies in Swanton, NE. She is my first smooth collie and has been competing in the AKC breed ring. She is a littermate to CH. L'gacy Silver Charm RN, CD, CGC "Charm", who is currently ranked in the Top Ten in Collie All-Breed points according to Canine Chronicle. Roxy helps me on the farm and goes to class with me to teach the 4-H dog project participants. Roxy finished her championship with back to back majors in Chickasha, Oklahoma in November of 2009 under judges Dr. Sophia Kaluzniacki and Judith Goodin. Thanks to Laurie Jeff Greer for handling Roxy in Chickasha and to all who helped Roxy and I along the way to her Chanpionship.
HC Ability's Rocketman HIBs x Ability's Kate of Ohadi HSAs
Tina was bred by Linda Holloway at Ability Stockdogs in Ponca City, OK and comes from a long line of wonderful performance dogs as well as a number of conformation champions. After watching Tina's sire, Rocket, work cattle at an event in Texas I decided I had to have one of his puppies. He was truly an amazing dog. At the 2009 Collie Club of America Central Regeional Herding Trial in Ponca City, Oklahoma, Tina completed her PT (Pre Trial Sheep) with great enthusiasm. Tina also received her first conformation point under judge, Walter Bebout at the 2009 Sunflower Cluster in April.
Rave and her littermates came to visit when they were only 7 weeks old to test their herding instinct on ducks. After an impressive session herding the ducks it was obvious she had a style much like her Aunt, L'gacy Magic Slipper RA HSAscd HIAs HXAs HSBs. Although I was not looking to add another canine family member, I kept thinking about what a powerhouse she was at only 7 weeks old... beauty, brains, and a strong desire to herd. I'm so thainkful her breeders, Alisa Pesek and Amy Ross, decided to let me bring this girl home. Rave continues to impress me on a daily basis. Look for her in a number of venues in 2011.
